>  Capital Safety to speak at VPPPA
​​Capital Safety's Craig Firl, North American Technical Manager, and Jim Hutter, ​Senior Training Specialist, will speak at the Voluntary Protection Programs Participants' Association (VPPPA) Conference today, August 27, at the Gaylord National Convention Center​ in National Harbor, Maryland.

Craig and Jim will give a plain language review of the applicable standards and common questions and misconceptions regarding fall protection for personnel working at height. They will address what fall protection means to workers at height and why it is important to comply to the standards. In addition, they​ will review the current and proposed OSHA and ANSI fall protection standards.

Firl-Craig.jpg Craig Firl is the Technical Manager for Capital Safety in North America. He has nearly 30 years of experience with the fall protection industry and is currently the content-matter expert for all relevant fall protection standards as defined by organizations such as OSHA and ANSI. He also manages the technical data for all North America fall protection products.

Hutter-Jim.jpg Jim Hutter is a Senior Training Specialist and has been a full time trainer at Capital Safety since 2002. In his tenure he has issued over 8500 training certificates for fall protection, rescue at heights and confined space. Jim has authored over 100 articles for a variety of publications and is a known speaker at national trade shows.
