OSHA Phoenix Area Office and local stakeholders including Capital Safety unveil billboard highlighting OSHA’s Campaign to Prevent Fatal Falls in Construction.
On Jan. 7, the OSHA Phoenix Area Office and local stakeholders unveiled two billboards highlighting OSHA’s Campaign to Prevent Fatal Falls in Construction just in time for the Phoenix construction building season. The unveiling was attended by Phoenix Vice Mayor Bill Gates, ACCOSH representative Jeremy Bethancourt, Area Director for the Phoenix OSHA office Zachary Barnett and representatives from Capital Safety, ACTA Safety, local ASSE, Banner Health and Kids’ Chance.
Falls are the leading cause of death in the construction industry. The billboards, which will remain in place for three months, encourage construction employers to plan, provide, and train to keep workers safe on the job. To learn more about the campaign, visit www.osha.gov/stopfalls
