Built for toughness and exceptional performance -  trust the best!
When your workers connect to a DBI-SALA® or PROTECTA® shock absorbing lanyard or positioning lanyard, they're connecting to a product that offers innovative features and reliable performance when it's needed the most. Plus, your crew not only stays safe, but benefits from a highly lightweight and durable fall arrest, restraint or positioning lanyard that's also designed to be easy to use.

Several unique patented hooks ranging from small self-locking and closing snap hooks to large rebar hooks are available to accommodate almost any anchor point. Our safety lanyards are made from the highest quality materials that meet or exceed rigorous safety standards. Trust the best lanyards in the industry.
Choose The Right Lanyards

Lanyards used as part of a personal fall arrest system must contain an energy absorbing unit that limits fall arrest forces during a fall to less than 1,800 lbs. (8kN). Most designs keep forces below 900 lbs. (4kN) for added safety. Shock absorbers come in pack or tubular styles depending on your preference.

Product Lines

  • Hardworking EZ-Stop™ shock absorbing lanyards combine a set of "industry-first" advancements that serve you. Built on decades of design, research, manufacturing know-how and on-the-job performance, today's EZ-Stop features the world's smallest and lightest shock absorber, and water-repellant and abrasion-resistant webbing, with a build quality that is second to none. Plus, its exclusive Hi-10™ Vectran™ energy management materials provide excellent abrasion, cut and chemical resistance and efficient shock absorption, assuring fall forces are reduced to safe levels.

  • The unique, stretchable design of ShockWave™2 shock absorbing lanyards allow your crew complete freedom of movement so they can work most efficiently. Plus, they reduce trip fall hazards, dragging or snagging by expanding to 6 ft. (1.8m) when taut and automatically contracting to 4-1/2 ft. (1.4m). In the event of a fall, the unique inner core begins to extend and absorbs energy, limiting the fall arrest forces to safe levels.

  • The Force2™ lanyard is ideal when there is no overhead anchorage and your only option is to tie-off at your feet. It can be used for up to a 12 ft. (3.7 m) free fall, or as a standard lanyard up to a 6 ft. (1.8 m) free fall for workers that require a capacity of 311 to 420 lbs. (141-190 kg). They feature our exclusive Hi-10™ Vectran™ energy management materials that provide second-to-none abrasion, cut and chemical resistance and efficient shock absorption. Should a fall occur, the lanyard and its unique energy absorbing system will activate stopping the fall and reducing the forces imposed on the user to safe levels. Our patented self-locking snap hooks which are widely recognized in the industry for their user friendly operation and are preferred by safety professionals and workers alike.

  • The WrapBax™2 style of lanyard is built to withstand the rigors of tie-back use, eliminating the need for a separate anchorage connector, reducing inventory and cost, simplifying inspections, training and improving compliance. It offers a unique 5,000 lb. (22kN) hook and heavy duty webbing, providing added strength and abrasion resistance.

  • The Retrax™ is the first shock absorbing lanyard that retracts automatically to fit your unique work area. Leveraging a retraction technology similar to airport security lines, the Retrax™ retracts and expands smoothly and consistently, from 2-1/2 to 6 ft. (0.8 to 1.8m). With it, the lanyard stays taut and close to the body at all times, reducing trip fall hazards, snagging on equipment and dragging. Incorporating our popular shock type pack, the Retrax™ also offers tough polyester webbing, a polycarbonate thermoplastic retractor case and that features a controlled tearing action which reduces forces during a fall.

  • With DBI-SALA® positioning lanyards, you get build quality that is second-to-none, backed by decades of design, research, manufacturing know-how and on-the-job performance. Our high strength positioning lanyards are designed to hold up in the toughest environments, without shock absorbers, making them ideal for positioning or restraint applications. Choose from web, rope and chain positioning lanyards that feature abrasion resistant construction and high strength materials. You also benefit from our patented self-locking snap hooks, preferred by safety professionals and crew members, and widely recognized in the industry for their user friendly operation.

  • When we developed the Cynch-Lok™, we talked to real pole climbers so we could better understand their unique needs and challenges. The result is a device that features effortless adjustment and "cynches" around a pole during a "cut-out." It allows your crew members to easily hitch-hike poles (move or jump the strap upwards) with a hand position that's comfortable for them, and moves past obstacles effortlessly. Exterior straps can easily be swapped out in the field depending on pole size, eliminating the need for multiple systems. Cynch-Lok™ also meets important safety requirements: CSA Z259.14 standards for Type A and AB (dry, wet and icy poles) and ASTM F887.

  • Stay compliant, and safe, with PRO™Stretch. It's an economical stretch lanyard that offers complete freedom of movement, featuring a polyester tubular web that expands to 6 ft. (1.8m) and contracts to 4-1/2 ft. (1.4m) in reaction to a worker's movements. With it, you get 3,600 lb. (16kN) gated hooks and an energy absorbing design that limits the average fall arresting forces to 900 lbs. (4kN) for added safety.

  • As opposed to a traditional shock pack, PRO-Stop™ one-piece, shock absorbing lanyards are made from a polyester tubular web. Featuring an integral energy absorber, durable webbing and plated alloy steel hardware, the PRO-Stop™ delivers strength and is corrosion resistant. Plus, its unique inner core immediately begins to extend and absorb energy during a fall, limiting arresting forces to safe levels. Available in various styles, lengths and hooks options to fit your specific jobsite needs.

  • Our PRO™ Pack shock absorbing lanyards help you do the job—providing high quality compliance, comfort and safety at a price you can afford. Various styles with lengths and hooks options are available to suit your specific jobsite needs, and all feature durable webbing and plated alloy steel hardware for strength and corrosion resistance.

  • Designed without shock absorbers, making them ideal for positioning or restraint applications, our PRO™ Positioning lanyards feature 3,600 lb. (16kN) gated hooks and are used to maintain your crew member's position. Because they don't use shock absorbers, they can only be used without a fall arrest system if the fall possibility is 2 ft. (0.6m) or less. Plus, they're lightweight, comfortable and compliant. Various styles, lengths and hooks options are available to suit your specific jobsite.

  • FIRST™ pack style shock absorbing lanyards feature durable webbing and plated alloy steel hardware for strength and corrosion resistance. Plus, they offer a controlled tearing action, so, when subjected to a fall, they reduce the forces imposed on your crew member to safe levels and stop the fall. Lightweight, comfortable, economical and compliant, FIRST™ lanyards are available in various styles, lengths and hooks options to suit your jobsite.
